Obituary


Rose (Intravaia) Puma of Woburn, formerly of the West End of Boston, Somerville, and Arlington, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at the age of 98. Born November 15, 1923 in Boston to the late Domenico Intravaia and Concetta (DiFranco) Intravaia, both of Augusta, Sicily, and the West End. Rose was the devoted wife of 70 years of the late Andrew A. Puma. Loving mother of the late Paul and his wife Sheryl (McClay) Puma of Delray, Florida and Andrea Puma Anglin and her husband John Anglin of Winchester. Proud Nana of grandchildren, Jessica Puma Altro and her husband Mitchell of Boca Raton, Florida, Laura Kotzeff and her husband Simon of Winchester and Jenna Puma Anglin of Boston`s South End. The "patootsies," as Rose called her great-grandchildren, are Holden and Fallyn Altro of Boca Raton, Florida, and Lukas, Jakob, and Frances Kotzeff of Winchester.

Rose, one of seven siblings, is also survived by her sister Leonora Hayes of St. Claire Shores, Michigan, her brother Richard Intravaia of Yarmouth, Maine, and her brother Robert Intravaia of Winchester. She is predeceased by Sammy (Salvatore) Intravaia of Arlington, Mary Carvelli of Arlington, and John Intravaia of Somerville and Woburn.

Rose will always be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and all the people she touched in her long and full life. Rose was always at her happiest when immersed in, and surrounded by, her loving family.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral Mass that will be celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, Monday, December 27th, at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
