Billy W. Ammons, 79, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Ammons was born July 9, 1942, to the late H.C. & Vernell Fulford Ammons. He served his country honorably in the United States Army for 17 years. He worked in the parts department for Lockheed Martin in Savannah. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his companion of 14 years, Lounelle Stephens of Fitzgerald; daughter, Gail Perron of Alberta, Canada; grandchildren; and two sisters: Alene Seagroves and Sherrie Rogers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry C. Ammons and two sisters, Lillie Sue Burch and Judy Cage.
