Sarah C. Thompson, 84, of Bristol Ct. Derry, NH, died Monday, July 29, 2002 at the Integrated Health Services in Derry. She was born in Chelsea, Mass. on August 24, 1917, a daughter of the late George and Elsie (Sheppard) Drover. She was a resident of Derry for the past two years, formerly living in N. Andover, Mass. She attended St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Chelsea, Mass. and St. Augustine’s Church in Lawrence, Mass. She was predeceased by her husband, John T. “Tommy” Thompson who died in 1978.
She is survived by one daughter, the Rev. Kendrick (Pamela) Child of Derry, NH, one son, John T. (wife Jean) Thompson Jr. of Centerville, Mass., four grandchildren, Kimberly Mullen, Brian (wife Laurie) Mullen, all of Derry, NH, Wendy Thompson of Belmont, Mass., Erik Thompson of Destin, Fla., one great grandson, Lennon Mullen of Derry, NH, three brothers, William Drover of Revere, Mass., Walter Drover of Woburn, Mass., John Drover of Sanford, Maine, formerly Burlington, Mass., three sisters, Anna Gosselin of Deltona, Fla., Elsie Drover of Chelsea, Mass., Joanne Kinney of Debery, Fla., several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 2nd at 11:00 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Washington St., Chelsea, Mass. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett, Mass. Friends may call at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH on Thursday, August 1st from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8.
