In Raynham, Rose F. Correia, age 90, passed away in her home peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on December 20, 2021. Rose was the beloved wife of the late Edmund Correia. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Elman S. Azevedo & Frances (Avylla) Azevedo.
Rose had resided in Raynham all of her life. She attended Raynham schools, was a Taunton High School graduate and also graduated from Bristol Community College. Rose was the former owner of Rose Correia Real Estate Company. She taught sewing at the American Sewers Guild, was the former owner of the Milk Bottle Restaurant in Raynham, and was employed as a purchasing agent for ICI America Company in Dighton for 17 years. Rose enjoyed sewing, knitting, doing crafts, and above all cherished her time with family.
Rose is survived by her loving children; Joyce Smith and her husband Albert Jr. of Raynham, Edmund Correia Jr. and his wife Lynne of Raynham and Joanne Correia of Raynham. She was the sister of the late Joseph Azevedo of Bridgewater and grandmother to her eight grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at the Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham on Tuesday, December 28th at 10am. Visiting hours are kindly omitted.
