William J. “Bill” Dukes, 84, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2021, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Landon Alberson officiating. Mr. Dukes will be laid to rest at Lawrence Cemetery.
Born December 27, 1936, in Brookfield, Mr. Dukes was the son of the late William Dukes and Bernice Coarsey Dukes. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce McCurry and Martha Bernice Dukes. He was formerly in Public Relations in the Atlanta area and he was a member of the Army Reserves.
Mr. Dukes is survived by one brother, Kenneth Bruce Dukes of Valdosta; and three sisters and one brother-in-law, Pansy and Greg Perry, Olivia Fullington and Ginger Murray, all of Tifton.
