Obituary

Doris M. (Corry) Kowalczyk, 82, died at the Cedar Hill Health Care in Randolph on Friday, April 21 after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late John J. Kowalczyk. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a graduate of Erasmus High School in Brooklyn. Mrs. Kowalczyk was a resident of Stoughton for 14 years after living in New York for 68 years. She was a homemaker at home with her family and a sales clerk at Abraham & Strauss Dept. Store in New York for 20 years before retiring many years ago. She was an avid Bingo player and a help to many people.

Mrs. Kowalczyk is survived by her children, John J. Kowalczyk of Stoughton, Judith Warbach and James M. Kowalczyk both of NY, as well as her sister, Elizabeth Marshall of ME and her brother, William Corry, Jr. of AZ. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Loretta Schmidt.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, April 25 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at the VA National Cemetery in Bourne. Donations in Doris’ name may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Assn., 3300 E.
