Anne Marie (Halloran ) Rasmussen, 88, of Framingham died December 21 at St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham where she had been a resident since 2017. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Rasmussen who died in 2009 following 53 years of marriage.
Born in Boston, December 9, 1933, the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Reagan) Halloran, Mrs. Rasmussen was raised in South Boston and lived in Medway for over 60 years before moving to Framingham. She and her husband raised their five children in the Brentwood neighborhood of Medway where they enjoyed wonderful neighbors and life long friendships.
Anne had worked as a telephone operator for over 20 years for the New England Telephone Company.
She is survived by her children, Maryann Boyan and her husband James of Franklin, Cathy Kapfhamer and her husband David of Centerville, Timothy M. Rasmussen and his wife Marie of Franklin, Robert F. Rasmussen of Stratham, New Hampshire and Jeannine M. Salcedo and her husband Alex of Westwood.
She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren whom she loved and adored.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 29, from 9:00-10:30 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway followed by her funeral mass which will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church, Medway Wednesday, December 29 at 11:00 a.m.
Face covering must be worn in both the funeral home and Church.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to St. Patrick’s Manor, 863 Central Street, Framingham, MA 01701 where she spent the last five years in the loving care of the nurses, aides and nuns.
