It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother. Judith (Judy) Anne Carey age 85 of Ventura, California passed away on December 17, 2021, in Ventura, California. Judy was born in Chicago, IL, to June Adele Breede Hagen and Stewart Hagen on March 14, 1936.
Judy moved to Hollywood California with her mother June Adele. She attended Hollywood High School and graduated class of 1953. It was at Hollywood High School that Judy met Roger Carey our father. They later married and went on to have three children, June Marie Carey, Mark Joseph Carey, and Daniel Arthur Carey.
Our dear mother is survived by her 3 children, 6 grandchildren: Heather Torres, Kristen Carey, Taj Bibi, James Carey, Kassandra Carey, Gabriella Carey, 2 great granddaughters Ava Torres and Maya Torres, and 3 great grandsons Nathaniel Ferry, Mathew Ferry and Billy Ferry.
Judy loved the ocean and was always near or in it. She was a true artist and had a great passion for art, music, literature, photography, poetry, and crocheting.
Judy was a staunch supporter of environmental causes and human rights.
Judy was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She was the sun, the moon, and the stars to her family always.
We will miss her each day and every day. She was a treasure to us, but she has a higher purpose now and we will always feel her spirit from within each and every one of us.
