Obituary

Dudley — Robert Kevin "Bob" Dand, 79, of Dudley, previously of Worcester and Holden, died on Saturday, December 18, 2021, after a long and hard-fought battle with Lewy Body Dementia.

Born in Webster on March 1, 1942, Bob was the son of the late Arthur H. Dand and Mary C. Killeen Dand. Bob grew up in Worcester and graduated from St. John's (Shrewsbury) in 1960. He went on to Worcester Junior College, Clark University, and earned his Master of Social Work from the University of Connecticut.

Bob worked as a community organizer for Catholic Charities in Worcester Main South. He also worked in chemical sales and hotel linen sales. He spent many years working with and assisting funeral directors in Worcester and the surrounding towns. Most recently until his retirement, Bob was the owner of his own facility maintenance company, AJ. Associates.

Bob is remembered as a social butterfly; always willing to talk to anyone about anything, especially war history and politics. His family would like to express their gratitude to the nursing staff at Advinia Care Nursing Home in Northbridge for the wonderful care they provided to Bob.

Bob is survived by his wife of 46 years, Priscilla M. (Hendrickx) Dand. He leaves behind four children; Allyson Rottman and her husband John of Dudley, Chloe M. Dand, Amy J. Dand, and Andrea J. Dand and her partner Colleen Nitchman. He is also survived by grandchildren Emma, Liam, Lorelai, Elliot, & Elijah.

Family and friends will honor and remember Bob by gathering for calling hours on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 4 until 6pm in the Kelly Funeral Home, 154 Lincoln St Worcester followed by a funeral service at 6pm in the funeral home. Burial in All Faith's Cemetery will be held at a later date.
