Obituary

Vidmant "Bill" Krygeris, 57 of Chester, NH, died Friday, April 21, 2006 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. Mr. Krygeris was born in Soltau, Germany on July 1, 1948, a son of the late Augustas and Maria (Hoppe) Krygeris. He was a resident of Chester for 12 years, formerly living in Windham, NH. Mr. Krygeris was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during Vietnam. He was a dedicated social worker and worked for many years with troubled children in various settings. Following his work as a social worker he became a tremendous stay-at-home dad, and he was very involved in school activities with his youngest son. He also did volunteer work for the school his son attends. His children were a very proud part of his life and his family was very important to him. He enjoyed gardening, building things and listening to books on tape. He felt spiritually connected to the teachings of A.A.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Lisa Banner Krygeris of Chester, two sons, Jonathan A. Krygeris of Derry and Benjamin B. Krygeris of Chester, two brothers, George Krygeris of Rochester, NH and Algird Krygeris of Washington, NH, two sisters, Lilly O'Dowd and Sharon Charron, both of Manchester, NH and also by many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were held from 5-8pm, Sunday, April 23rd in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Funeral services were held at 10:00am Monday, April 24th in the funeral home, with cremation following. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Chester Academy, c/o Ann Parnell, 22 Murphy Dr., Chester, NH 03036.
