Hazel (Pierce) Arruda, 93, of Dartmouth passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Manuel Arruda.
Born in Dartmouth, she was daughter of the late Alden and Marie A. (Martel) Pierce. Mrs. Arruda was a member of the Westport United Congregational Church, the Cortez Allen Chapter #161 Order of Eastern Star, Westport and the Signet Chapter #21 of RI.
Survivors include 4 grandchildren: Jared Stevens, Terel Soares, Kyla Soares and Nicole Lucic; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was mother of the late Katherine Arruda and Alden T. Arruda and sister of the late Alden T, Pierce, Jr. and Robert E. Pierce.
The family would like to thank the staff of Autumn Glen for the care and compassion they gave Hazel.
Funeral services to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Order of the Eastern Star service will be held at 10:45 A.M.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 A.M. - 10:45 A.M. prior to the funeral.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
