David Benson, 63, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Irwin County Hospital in Ocilla, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held 4 PM, Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, Georgia, with the Rev. John Gibbs, Jr. officiating. Interment will be private.
Mr. Benson was born November 25, 1958, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Cecil M. & Deila Griffin Benson. He was a 1976 graduate of Irwin County High School. Mr. Benson worked as a parts salesman for Western Star in Douglas. He enjoyed camping and fishing and was an avid enthusiast of classic automobiles, particularly the Dodge Dart. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Irwin County.
He is survived by his children: Jodi Willingham & Justin and Clifton Benson, all of Ocilla; grandchildren: Gunnar Willingham, Ellie Willingham, and Gracelynn Willingham; and two brothers: Edwin Benson & Darnell and Tommy Benson & Teresa, all of Ocilla.
