Richard A. Joyce Sr., 76, of Mammoth Rd., Londonderry died Monday July 29, 2002 in the Integrated Health Services in Derry. He was born in Manchester, NH on January 19, 1926 the son of the late John J. and Clara (Akey) Joyce. He had resided in Londonderry for the last 50 years, formerly living in Derry. He served with the US Navy during WWII. He retired from E & R Cleaners, Manchester where he had been employed as a maintenance supervisor. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #27, Londonderry and the Londonderry United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Doris E. (White) Joyce, Londonderry, his son, Richard A. Joyce Jr., Londonderry, two grandchildren, Allen R. Joyce and Katie A. Joyce both of Londonderry, three brothers, Eddie Joyce of Virginia, Frank Joyce of Louisiana, John Joyce, Londonderry, two sisters, Arlene Spooner, Derry, Theresa Eden of California, also many nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, memorial services will be held on Saturday August 3, 2002 at 12:00pm in the Londonderry United Methodist Church, corner of Mammoth Rd. and Pillsbury Rd., Londonderry. The family requests no flower arrangements. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry is handling arrangements.
