Obituary

BROOKFIELD; Alfred F. "Zeke" Desforges, 84, of 1 Deer Run, died Friday, December 17 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield.
He leaves his life partner, Ruth Kinell of Brookfield, a son, David Desforges of Millbury, two daughters, Suzanne Gomes and her husband Joseph of Harwichport, Deborah Arduino and her husband Mark of Rochester Hills, Michigan, 6 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his partner Ruth's three children; Russell Kinell and his wife Julie of Worcester, Sue Ann Donisvitch of Millbury, Deborah Wilson of Searsburg, Vermont.
He was predeceased by the mother of his children, Dorothy Desforges and 9 siblings.
Born in Ware, he was the son of Arthur & Clara (Perreault) Desforges. Mr. Desforges was a lineman/crew leader for National Grid and worked there for 35 years before retiring in 1998. He was also an instructor at the New England Electric Training Center in Millbury.
He proudly served his country in the Marines during the Korean War. He was a member of the Ware Council Knights of Columbus. He was an avid golfer and golfed with Pit's Crew in Oakham, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, December 21 in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester, from 12 noon until 2 P.M. with a Service concluding at 2 P.M.
At the family's request there are no other Services planned. Following cremation, burial of ashes will be at a later date and at the convenience of the family. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made to Veterans Inc., 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605.
