Obituary


LIMERICK- Gregory A. LePage, 68, of Limerick, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Gregory was Born July 18, 1953, to Cecile (Provencher) LePage and Charles LePage, Jr.
Growing up on the farm on Clarkes Bridge Road, he helped his dad in the chicken house from the time he was old enough to carry a pail to feed the chickens until they moved from the farm in 1968.
He attended Limerick Elementary through the 8th grade, then he attended Sanford High School for grades 9 and 10. Completing his High School grades 11 and 12 at Massabesic High School graduating in 1971. He attended SMVTI, where he studied Building Construction, graduating in 1973.
After graduating he worked for Sumner McFarland, S&C Construction, for 6 years as a carpenter building homes. Next, he started his own business building and remolding homes until 2017, when he retired due to health issues.
In 1971 he met Barbara the Love of his life. They were married July 20, 1974. They had two children and were later blessed with two beautiful granddaughters. Gregory is survived by his wife Barbara (Hamilton) LePage, a son Christopher LePage and spouse Dale Theriault, his daughter Sarah (LePage) Sirois and spouse Jim Sirois. Granddaughter Catherine (Card) Tardiff and spouse Alex Tardiff, granddaughter Hope Card, grandson Matthew Sirois and grandson Jonathan Sirois. Gregory is also survived by his mother Cecile (Provencher) LePage, and his siblings: Vickie (LePage) Carroll and husband Anthony, Amy (LePage) Paradis and husband Rick, Mark LePage and spouse Jan, Dean LePage and spouse Lisa, Thomas LePage and spouse Miranda, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Gregory served on the Limerick Planning board for 3 years in the late 70’s. Served 4 years as Limerick Code Enforcement Officer from 1995-1999. Served as trustee for 2 years on Limerick Water and Sewer in the late 90’s. Gregory was a 40-year volunteer for Limerick Fire and Rescue, retiring in June 2018. Mowed the roads for the town of Limerick for 40 years. He was an usher at St. Matthew Parish for 30 years. He also was a member of St. Matthew Knights of Columbus Council 8868. Served as a committee member on the Limerick Society Baptist Church restoration committee.
His interests included working in his garden, tending to his beef cows and chickens. His favorite past time was driving and restoring his Farmall tractors, fishing, hunting and camping.
Visitation will be held on Thursday Dec. 23 from 10 – 11 AM at St. Matthew’s Church, Dora Lane, Limerick, immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Mask wearing is highly recommended. Burial will be in the spring at Highland Annex Cemetery in Limerick.
