WAYLAND: Jane Sue Seto, 85, died peacefully and comfortably in the care and comfort of her family at her son’s residence in Framingham on December 7, 2021 following a period of declining health.
She was born in Canton, Ohio on March 7, 1936 the daughter of the late Sue Ming and Pearline (Lee) Sue.
Jane was the wife of the late Andrew C.N. Seto who died on July 14, 2014.
She is survived by her children, Mark Seto and his wife Carol of Framingham; Andrea Doria and her husband Thomas of Watertown and Donald Seto and his wife Karen of Bellingham. She was the cherished grandmother of Jennifer Seto and her husband Paul Van-Seto; Dr. Andrew Seto; Nicholas and Kim Doria; Jayden Seto and Evan Seto. She was the sister of Gene Sue of CA; Beverly Stevenson of Canton, OH and the late Frances Sue Lee and Don Sue. Also survived by 5 nieces and one nephew.
Jane received her BS in Dental Hygiene/Education from Ohio State University. In her earlier years she was a dental hygienist and for many years worked side by side with her husband Andres in the family business at South Pacific Restaurant in Newton as well as the Makaha Restaurant in Acton.
Jane and Andrew had been longtime residents of Wayland before retiring to Ashland several years ago. They also enjoyed the winter months in Naples, FL.
Jane was an active member of the Community United Methodist Church in Wayland and serviced on many committees.
Memorial Visitations will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022 from noon until 3:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rt 30), Wayland.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Community United Methodist Church, 5 Damon St, Wayland.
Private family interment will be held in the Seto family lot in Lakeview Cemetery, Wayland.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial gifts in Jane’s memory may be sent to Community United Methodist Church.
