Thomas “Tom” Joseph Coen, 57, of Whitman, MA passed away December 15, 2021.
Born in Jamaica Plain, MA in 1964 to the late Thomas Coen and Mary (Geralish) Coen.
Tom was in the Whitman-Hanson graduating class of 1982. He studied computer programming in college where he went on to work at State Street Financial. He most recently worked for T.J. Maxx, enjoying his time in the stock room and on the sales floor.
Tom’s life revolved around his beloved wife, kids and grandkids. He was also an avid sports fan who loved the New England home teams.
He was the husband of Dotty (Simmonds) Coen for 29 years and brother to Lisa (Coen) and her husband Kevin Mossman of Hanson. He leaves behind his two sons, T.J. and Andrew and his stepdaughter Amie McGrath all of Whitman. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Peyton McGrath, Thomas Coen IV, Gracelynn Murphy and his many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday December 22 from 4-7 pm in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) in Whitman. His funeral service will be on Thursday December 23 at 10 am in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery in Whitman.
