Carl Wendell Hilty, 81, of Moultrie passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Pruitt Health Sunrise in Moultrie. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Mr. Hilty at a later date.
Born March 26, 1940, in Apollo, Pennsylvania, Mr. Hilty was the son of the late James Mathis Hilty and Mary Elaine Shriver Hilty. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Carl Wendell Hilty, Jr.; one grandchild, Sara Hilty; six brothers; and one sister.
Mr. Hilty is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John Wendell and Kaye Hilty of Arizona; one daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Chad Seymour of Omega; three brothers, George Hilty of Peabody, Massachusetts, Jim Hilty of Pennsylvania and Denny Hilty of Alabama; seven grandchildren, Wesley Yancey, Dannie Yancey, Donnie Yancey, Darren Yancey, Holly Peak, Shawn Sutton and Jonathon Hilty; and nine great-grandchildren.
