Linda F. O’Connor

Linda F. (Morgan) O’Connor, age 77, of Norton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of Paul M. O’Connor, to whom she was wed on December 24, 1965.
Born in Newton, MA on March 18, 1944, she was a loving daughter of the late James L. and Isabel (Orr) Morgan.
Linda grew up in Newton and was a 1962 graduate of Newton High School. She continued her studies, graduating in 1966 with a bachelor’s degree in Education from Framingham State College and later with a master’s degree in Education from Lesley College.
A resident of Norton for the past fifty-three years, Mrs. O’Connor was a retired Elementary School Teacher, having taught at the Joseph C. Solmonese Elementary School in Norton for twenty-seven years.
Linda was a member of St Mark’s Episcopal Church in Foxboro, where she served on the Altar Guild and more recently as a member of the Bell Choir. She enjoyed knitting, but most of all Linda cherished the times and memories created with her adoring family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of nearly fifty-six years, she is survived by her devoted children: Tracy Witz and her husband Robert of Arizona and Paul O’Connor and his companion Stacey of Georgia. She was the treasured grandmother of Caroline, Kate, Sarah, Brooke and Jack. She was the dear sister of Marjorie Vital of Foxborough and the late Joan Mitchell. She was the sister-in-law of Ellen White of Attleboro, Roger O’Connor and his wife Sandra of Norton and Brian O’Connor and his wife Margaret of Florida. She is also survived by her former daughter-in-law Traci O’Connor of Taunton, as well as her loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a service in celebration of her life at St Mark’s Episcopal Church, 116 South Street in Foxborough on a date and time to be announced. Burial will take place in St Mark’s Memorial Garden.
Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing may remember Linda with a donation in her memory made to an organization to be announced.
