Flora DeFilippo passed away peacefully at the Aberjona Nursing Center, Winchester on Sunday morning, December 12th. She was 92 years old. Born in Melita, Irpino, Italy, and raised in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (LaPorta) DeFilippo. A Medford resident for over 62 years, Flora was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Flora enjoyed a career in the finance department of the former Filenes Department Store. In later years she worked in CVS in Medford. She was also always available to babysit her great nieces and nephews. Flora enjoyed gardening, taking walks around her neighborhood and spending time with her family.
Flora was a devoted sister to Mafalda Pascucci of Medford and the late Maria, Joseph and Pasquale DeFilippo. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Flora on Monday, December 20th in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be private.
