Mary E. (Feeley) Ryan 86, of Wrentham, and a former resident of Franklin, passed away peacefully, Sunday December 12, 2021 at Milford Regional Medical Center following an illness. She was the beloved wife of George J. Ryan, who died in 2015.
Born May 24, 1935, in Franklin, a daughter of the late John C. Feeley, Sr. and Helen M. (Ferguson) Feeley, she was a former resident of Cumberland, Rhode Island until moving to Wrentham.
She was raised and educated in Franklin and was a Franklin High School Graduate Class of 1953. Mary worked as a bookkeeper for Franklin Paint until retiring.
Mary’s true vocation was being a wife, and was devoted to her children and family.
She was a longtime volunteer at the former Southwood Community Hospital, and enjoyed traveling, reading, horse racing and spending time at her home in North Eastham, Cape Cod.
She is survived by her children, Jeffrey J. Ryan of Fayetteville, Ark, Lynne E. Ryan and her husband Sean Hyde of County Cork, Ireland and James M. Ryan and his wife Mary of Bellingham, her brothers, John C. Feeley, Jr., of Franklin, Thomas Feeley & Dennis Feeley both of North Kingstown, RI, and a sister Noreen McConville of Grafton.
She was the sister of the late Denise Feeley, Lynne Feeley and Dorothy A. “Doey” Nasuti.
Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren, Kelsey, Jennifer & Emily Ryan and Cullen Ryan Hyde.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday Dec. 22nd, at 9:30AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 130 South St. Wrentham, MA at 10:30AM.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.
