Joseph James Griffin, Sr., 60, of Derry, NH passed away Saturday December 11, 2021 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA., after a brief illness. Joseph was born November 9, 1961 in Chelsea, MA and was a son of the late Anthony and Edith (Allen) Griffin. He was raised and educated in Chelsea and was a graduate of Chelsea High School. He has been a resident of Derry for the past 25 years.
Joe was employed as a truck driver and worked for Shaw’s Supermarket Distribution in Methuen, MA., for 3 years. Joe enjoyed cooking and fishing. He was a loyal and dedicated person who never missed a day of work. He will forever be remembered as a loving father and grandfather and a guy who could fix any car you brought to him.
Members of the family include his son, Joseph James Griffin, Jr., his daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Griffin-Russell and her husband Orion, two grandchildren, Aaliyah and Anthony Oltean- Griffin, his significant other, Carol Tudisch, three brothers, Wayne and his wife Gwendolyn Griffin, Roger Griffin, and Paul Griffin. His three sisters, Carol and her husband Arthur Pantano, Donna Jones, and Sherri Griffin-Chipman, as well as his ex-wife and friend, Kimberly Griffin-Cote.
