Patricia (Craven) Watson of Needham, December 12, 2021. Born in Jamaica Plain, the beloved daughter of William and Anna (Smythe) Craven. She graduated from Jamaica Plain High School after which she worked for many years for the New England Telephone Co., in many positions, the last of which was in the Jamaica Plain Business Office. After her marriage, she stayed home and cared for her new arrivals (four daughters) all of which were the joys of her life. When the children grew older, Patricia decided to return to work and became an employee of the Town of Needham, as the Town Hall Receptionist, and later worked for the Youth Commission. Her outgoing and friendly personality resulted in many, many friends who enjoyed working with her. The final stop in her business career was working for Nortel Networks, a high tech company in Burlington, MA.
Pat leaves her 4 daughters, Laurie Larson and her husband Erik of Norwood, MA; Carolyn Ricciardi and her husband Joseph of Westford, MA; Susan Watson of Washington D.C., and Tricia Watson of Needham. Also two beloved grandsons, Ryan Larson and Michael Ricciardi. She leaves her adoring husband, Laurence (Larry) of 61 years, formerly of Saugus, MA, and was preceded in death by her dear brother Bill Craven of Arlington, MA. Pat will be greatly missed by her many friends and acquaintances who interacted with her cheerful and outgoing personality throughout her life.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., Needham on Friday, Dec. 17 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Needham at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Thursday, Dec. 16 from 4-7pm. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
