LaVerne D. Cain, 86, of Cocoa, Florida, died Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the Edward M. Poe Hospice Care Center in Titusville, Florida.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Gary Mimbs officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 PM at Paulk Funeral Home in FItzgerald.
Mrs. Cain was born February 17, 1935, in Wray, Georgia, to the late Eston & Thelma Fussell Day. She worked as a realtor and was a member of Grace Methodist Church in Merritt Island, Florida.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth H. (Karen) Watson of Cocoa, Florida; grandchildren: Ronald Watson, Kenneth (Elizabeth) Watson, and Shawn Tresidder; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Sowell of Albany. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: James Watson and Winton Cain.
