Georgette A. (Comeau) VerCammen, 94, of New Bedford passed away Saturday December 11, 2021 at Sacred Heart Home. She was the wife of the late John A. VerCammen.
Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
Georgette was formerly employed as a nursing assistant at Sacred Heart Home for many years.
She enjoyed ballroom dancing, gardening, crafting, and spending time with her family, friends, and companion Raymond.
She is survived by her children, Diane Davis and her husband Brian of Canyon Lake, Texas, Charles Milligan and his wife Kathy of Barnstable, and Robert Milligan and his wife Melissa of Westport; her grandchildren, Tony George, Jr. and his wife Dawn, Hayley Milligan, Ashlie Proc and her husband Bruce Proc, Jr., and Alisha Milligan; her great-grandchildren, Adrianna Amaral and Julien Ouimet; and her long-time companion, Raymond Lake.
Her funeral service and burial in Rural Cemetery will be private. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
