Obituary

CHICOPEE – Robert G. “Bob” Boissonnault, 69, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, December 11, 2021. He passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Holyoke on April 21, 1952, a beloved son of the late Ronald J. Boissonnault who was Called Home on October 25, 2016 and Aline Anne Marie (Authier) Boissonnault who was Called Home on December 13, 2019. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School in 1970 and had lived in Chicopee his entire life. He was employed as a Manager at ITT Power Solutions in West Springfield. He was a member of the Tiger Athletic Club in Chicopee and the Chicopee Lodge of Elks. During his leisure time, he was an avid golfer and was a member of Chicopee Country Club. He also enjoyed his yearly visits to Florida. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and his many dear friends. He leaves his beloved wife and soul mate, Cheryl A. (Doherty) Boissonnault. They were married on September 29, 1973 at Saint Patrick Church in Chicopee Falls and were blessed with over 48 years of happiness together. He also leaves his two loving sons, Robert G. Boissonnault II and his wife, Amy, and Jeffrey J. Boissonnault, all of Chicopee; his two cherished grandchildren, Samantha Elizabeth Boissonnault and Chase Jeffrey Boissonnault; his dear brother, Ronald A. Boissonnault and his wife, Theresa, of South Hadley; his two dear sisters, Diane H. Benoit and her husband, Dave, of Ashland and Janice C. Zepko and her husband, Anthony, of West Springfield; his dear brother in law, Robert Mosher of Florida; his two dear sisters in law, Mary Jo Paradise and Jacqueline LeHouiller and her husband, Francis, all of Chicopee; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends and extended members of the Boissonnault and Doherty families. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his dear brother in law, Bruce Paradise; and his dear sister in law, Sandra Mosher. His funeral services will be private.
