Michael G. Spratt, 53, of Blackstone, died peacefully on Friday, December 10, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Susan E. (Kerrigan) Spratt for 29 years.
Born in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina on October 27, 1968, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Helen L. (Haynes) Spratt.
Michael grew up in Medway and graduated from Medway High School in 1986. He resided in Franklin for 8 years until moving to Blackstone in 2000.
Michael worked as a delivery driver for many years most recently with the Herb Chambers Group.
Michael was a huge sports fan of both the local high school teams as well as national teams. He loved all the New England sports teams as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Oklahoma Sooners. He of course enjoyed coaching and watching his sons play and was an active volunteer for the Blackstone Millville Athletic Assoc.
Michael also enjoyed horse racing and going to Saratoga for the big races.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Michael Spratt, Jr. of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Christopher and Timothy Spratt, both of Blackstone. He is also survived by his brother Robert Spratt of Millville, three sisters, Nancy Spratt of Bellingham, Barbara Spratt of Milford and Linda Malmberg of Blackstone and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) on Thursday, December 16 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 – 8 p.m.
