Margaret A. “Peggy” (Costello) Nash, age 86, of Plainville, formerly of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, in the presence of her loving family on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Earle L. Nash, Jr., to whom she was wed for over sixty years at the time of his death on April 25, 2014.
Born in Norwood, MA on March 26, 1935, she was a loving daughter of the late Daniel and Janet (Foley) Costello.
Peggy grew up in Walpole and was a graduate of Walpole High School. Prior to living in Plainville, she had made her home in Mansfield for many years and was a former communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Nash worked as an export manager at the Rolf C. Hagen Company in Mansfield. Her entire family was truly the focal point of her life and her hobbies included being an avid reader and the enjoyment of taking cruises.
She is survived by her devoted children: Janet L. Fesik and her husband Richard of North Attleboro, Mary V. Stowe and her husband Walter of Bellingham, Dennis M. Nash and his wife Kim of Indiana, Kathleen T. Zarrella and her husband William of Florida and the late Earle L. Nash, III, who is survived by his wife Kathleen Nash of Norton. She was the dear sister of Catherine “Kay” Day of Foxborough and the late Daniel Costello, Mary Brown, James Costello, Frank Costello, Robert Costello, John Costello and Patrick Costello. She is also survived by her loving 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, December 14th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
At the conclusion of visiting hours on Tuesday evening, a service in celebration of her life will be held at 7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, Margaret’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
