John J. O’Connor, Jr., 53, of Millbury died Tuesday, December 7th at home. He leaves his mother, Kathleen M. (McDonald) O’Connor of Dudley; a brother, David P. O’Connor and his wife, Susan of Dudley; a sister, Suzanne L. Bourque of Charlton; a niece, Adrianna R. Bourque; two nephews, Michael J. Gallo and Jonathan O’Connor; and his great-nieces who he truly adored.
He was born in Worcester, the son of the late John J. O’Connor, Sr. and graduated from Bay Path Vocational Technical High School in 1986 where he studied architecture. John continued his education at Quinsigamond Community College where he received his two Associate’s degrees, engineering in 2000 and business administration in 2018. He also attended Worcester Industrial Technical Institute. John worked at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an engineering firm. He was a gentle soul who loved collecting items such as, specialty cards and mini train sets. John was a member of and an alter server for many years at St. Anne’s Church in Oxford.
Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.
