Old Orchard Beach- Shirley “Shirl” Letendre, age 66, passed away on December 9, 2021, at Southern Maine Health Care after a sudden illness.
She was born in Biddeford, Maine on February 5, 1955, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Cox, Sr. After graduating from Marlborough High School in Massachusetts, Shirley married, had two children and eventually resided in Old Orchard Beach, Maine for the past 25 years.
Shirley enjoyed reading, watching the Red Sox and endless conversations on the phone. She loved the ocean and living in Maine. Many will remember her by her outgoing personality and sense of humor.

Shirley will be remembered by her children-Michelle Whittemore and her husband Lawrence of Gorham, Ericka Edgecomb and her husband Andrew of Standish; sisters- Christine Morin of Franklin, MA, Kathy Anderson of Princeton, MA, Brenda Jacobs of Marlborough, MA, Patricia Gallagher of Sunnyvale, CA, and three grandchildren-Cameron, Alexa and Chloe.
