Obituary


Bonita R. "Bonnie" Marinaccio, of Woburn passed away at home surrounded by her husband and daughter and the love of all of her family and friends, Thursday, December 9, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Paul Marinaccio. Bonnie fought a tough battle with ovarian cancer for eleven years to the very end.

Her passions included interior architecture, traveling, gardening, cooking, yoga, knitting, painting, reading, and spending time with loved ones. Bonnie will always be remembered as an extremely strong, courageous and beautiful woman inside and out. Her family and friends meant everything to her. She always had a smile and would do anything for anyone regardless of what she was going through. Her family and friends are deeply saddened by her loss but she will live on in each of us and never be forgotten.

Bonnie loved fiercely and deeply and we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace surrounded by light.

Bonnie was the devoted mother of Tara McGarrigle and her husband D.J. of Woburn, Jason Merola, and step-mother of the late Jason Marinaccio. Cherished sister of Stephen Bates of Medford, Al Bates of St. Louis, MO, and the late Teddy Bates. Sister-in-law of Helen Anne Chandler and her late husband Mike, Ralph Marinaccio and his wife Susan, Richie Marinaccio, the late Pauline Blais and Charles Marinaccio. She is further survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends that will greatly miss her.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Tuesday, December 14th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning, December 15th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Interment services will be private. As an expression of sympathy contributions may be made in Bonnie's memory to Heaps of Hope, Inc., c/o Holly J.
