Donna Mae (Blauss) Viola, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the age of 73 after a long battle with cancer.
Born in 1948 in Whitman Massachusetts, Donna was the eldest daughter of Richard and Doris Blauss.
Donna graduated from Bridgewater Raynham High School in 1966. Soon after high school Donna started a family, marrying David G. Thrasher of East Bridgewater. Together they had 4 boys.
Donna loved nature and enjoyed spending time gardening, fishing, and boating. She was known for her signature Swedish coffee bread and Christmas cookies.
Donna was a devoted woman of the Christian faith who always went out of her way to help strangers in need. She loved music and dancing and spending time with loved ones. Donna loved pouring her heart into writing and penned hundreds of poems that she shared with her loved ones. Always a good listener she was a source of council for anyone who needed it. Donna adored her boys and all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Donna will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she touched with her boundless love, her deep faith, and kind heart.
Donna is survived by her husband, John Viola of Whitman, MA, her sons, David Thrasher, Jr. of Middleboro, MA, Daniel Thrasher of Duxbury, MA, Dean Thrasher and his wife Kerin of Lakeville, MA, Douglas Thrasher and his wife Stephanie of Bridgewater, MA, stepsons Brian Krup and his wife Amy of Kingston, MA, Matthew Krup of Fort Meyers, FL, stepdaughter Anna Viola of Brockton, MA. She is also survived by her sisters Linda Lonergan and husband Robert of Port Charlotte, FL, Patricia Corthell and husband Richard of Carver, MA, Kimberly Dimond of Bridgewater, MA and also 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and lots and lots of friends. She was also the daughter of the late Richard and Doris Blauss and sister of the late Richard Blauss, Jr. and William Blauss.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the celebration of life which will be held at Lakeside Villa, 550 Monponsett Street, Halifax. MA on December 19th from 1 – 4 pm.
