Obituary

Diane Neufville – Maiden Name -( Diane Elizabeth Wood ) - resident of Franklin Massachusetts. Died unexpectedly, on December 6 at the age of 75, at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of Henry S. Neufville .

Born in Malden Massachusetts, November 13, 1946. Diane was the daughter of the late John B Wood and Elizabeth (Ridley) Wood, and also the sister of late Leslie Wood. Mrs. Wood- Neufville, “Diane”, to her family and friends, came to be a Franklin resident at age 12!

Where on Chestnut st, she helped her parents build their house. Along with the help of her brothers Leslie and Philip wood. She was a graduate of Franklin High School and a member of, the class of 1966.

Diane was the manager of the cable office in Franklin, A seasoned saleswoman, Diane was awarded several times for her hard work. known affectionately as the “Cable lady”, for 15 years. Diane also worked in sales for Tru-Green Chem Lawn for 5.

Diane was one of the original people in the founding of the, Franklin Community Center, along with Jay Cohen being the first. Diane was the founder, of the “Santa Train ride”, she also organized the event and procured all trains and costumes for the event, for many years. Proceeds from the fundraising, paid for total renovation of the, Community Center and handicapped access, to be made available.

Diane also was involved in scholarships being awarded to local Franklin High students, as well as Tri-County students, from funds raised during the Train rides.

Scholarships are still being awarded to students from those events!
Diane love to fish, cook, entertain, crafting, yard sales and bargain hunting, being outdoors, huge Celtics fan also the Pat’s, and being with family and friends .

She was a people person!

In addition to her husband of 27 years Henry S. Neufville, 43 years total, she is survived by her son Jason W. Morris and his wife Brittany McKinnon of Franklin, grandchildren- Braydyn and Omari Morris, Nina and Matthew Henry. Also Wedde Neufville- Henry and her husband Ricky Henry of Boston.

She is also survived by her brother Philip Wood of Norfolk Ma, Nephew John S Wood and daughters Auroura , Savanah, Morgan. Sister in- laws Diane Wood and Marylyn Jordan and husband the late Donald Jordan. Niece Rebecca and daughter Autumn, Cousins, the late Joycelyn Sayles- Warren. Marsha Croxen, daughter Rhonda perch, husband David perch and children Rodney and Brandy of Boston. And other loved ones, who have not been mentioned!

Her funeral service will be held on Monday, December 13 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Union Street Cemetery, Franklin.

Calling hours will be on Monday from noon until 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to American Heart Association.
