Dianne M. "Nana B" (McGough) LaPlante, 74, of Westport, peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 with her family by her side. She was the wife of Ronald W. LaPlante.
Mrs. LaPlante was born in Cambridge, daughter of the late John C. McGough, Jr. and the late Ann M. (Sullivan) McGough and had resided in Westport for most of her life. Prior to retirement, she worked as a waitress at the Kozy Nook Restaurant, Westport for over 30 years. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport. She enjoyed cooking, dancing and shopping. Most of all, she loved spending time with family.
Survivors along with her husband include her children: Christine Spooner, Laurie Rapoza, Michelle Costa, Jennifer Phillips, Denise Mello, Carrie Silvia, Suzanne Oliveira and Randy LaPlante; her brother: John M. McGough; her sister: Jacqueline Maitland; 21 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Monday from 5-8 P.M.
Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
