Obituary

Francis Xavier James Miller, 72, of Manchester, NH, passed away Tuesday December 7, 2021 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. He passed away surrounded by his family after a courageous month long battle with COVID-19. He was born in Springfield, MA on August 28, 1949, the son of the late Frank X. Miller and Irene D. (Grenon) Miller. He had been a resident of Manchester for the past 6 years, formerly living in Canton, GA and Duxbury, MA. He was a US Army veteran and served honorably during the Vietnam War from 1968-1971. In 1976, he went on to graduate with his B.S. from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He made his career as an Estimator in the printing industry for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife Mary A. (Stevens) Miller of Manchester; two daughters, Lori A. Pessotti and her husband Stephen of Chester, NH, and Heather L. Moss and her husband Christopher of Verona, NJ; as well as his grandchildren, Jake and Lyla Pessotti, Michaela and Kevin Moss. He was predeceased by his sister, Marilyn Vallee.

He loved camping and vacationing in Pittsburg, NH, skiing with his family at Bretton Woods and golfing everywhere he could. He was always up for a good game of cards with his family. He loved spending time with his wife, family and friends. He was in his glory as a grandfather. Being there to support his grandchildren in all of their passions made his heart full. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and an infectious laugh that made him the kind of man everyone wanted to be around.

Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Monday, December 20th from 5:00pm - 7:00pm with a memorial service to follow in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. Mask usage is at the discretion of the attendee.
