Swampscott SERVICES CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO ILLNESS
Daniel E. Vousboukis, 81 of Swampscott, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston following a long illness. He was the devoted husband of Muriel L. (Gauthier) Vousboukis with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Lynn he was the son of the late Peter and Rita (Moran) Vousboukis.
He served stateside as an M.P. with the Army from1958 to 1964. Dan was employed for many years by General Electric in the aircraft turbine engine division. Following an early retirement he worked as a lobsterman and fisherman out of Swampscott. Dan was devoted to his family and loved the sea.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Christopher P. Vousboukis and wife Rebecca McNeill, Danielle K, Vousboukis and partner Sarah Kipp, Steve A. Vousboukis, his siblings, Mary Griffin, Lisa Sandler and husband Mark, John Vousboukis and wife Kathy, his grandson Mikie Vousboukis and sisters-in-law, Elaine and Carin Vousboukis. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son Michael Vousboukis,
And siblings, Katherine Chiklis, Alice LeBlanc, Peter and William Vousboukis.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Evangelist Church, 178 Humphrey St., Swampscott on Friday, December10, 2021 at 10:30 A.M.
