Betty L. Pantone (Porrovecchio) passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family on December 5th. She was 89. Raised in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Josephine (Pistone) Porrovecchio. Betty worked for many years as a book keeper at the famed Forecaster of Boston clothing maker. A Medford resident, Betty enjoyed time with her family and many friends. She was a devout woman who was a longtime member of the Saint Joseph Society of Boston. Most of all Betty loved and cherished her children and granddaughter and she was equally loved and cherished by them.
The beloved wife of the late Charles Pantone, Betty was a devoted mother to Joyce Rodrigues and her husband Joe of Medford, Chucky Pantone of Medford, and the late Robert Pantone. She was a loving grandmother to Shayla Rodrigues. Betty was the dear sister of Salvatore “Sonny” Porrovecchio and his wife, Betty’s loving sister-in-law Anna May, Josephine Fernandez and her late husband Frederick, the late Rose Sciarappa and her late husband Frederick Carmella “Honey” Costa and her late husband Ralph She is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, Saturday December 11th at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
