Delivrancia Anne Charles Jean-Baptiste, age 93 of Hyde Park, Massachusetts, entered into eternal rest on Monday December 6, 2021, peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Born in Trou Du Nord, Haiti to Mathilia Jean-Baptiste on August 7th, 1928, Delivrancia moved to Port-au-Prince, Haiti at a very young age. In those earlier years she worked as a talented surgical operating room technician at the Hospital General in Haiti. Delivrancia Anne Charles Jean-Baptiste was affectionately known by her children, family, and friends as Mammie De ManDe (Dede).
She emigrated to the US in August 1974. Man De, valiant and resolute, worked very hard for most of her life to provide for her family. A loving mother and devout Christian, she was a virtuous woman, a loyal friend, and a God-fearing person. She spent her free time praying and doing her rosary.
In the prior years leading up to her illness in 2019, Manmie De was counselor, advisor, and comforter to her children and family members. She exemplified what it means to have great discernment. Manmie De or Man De (Dede) will be missed by all.
She is preceded by her mother Mathilia Jean-Baptiste, her son Jean-Joseph Rodriguez. She is survived by four generations. Her children, Marie Marthe Jean-Louis, Marie Mercie Estime, Marie Jo Dorcy, Carl H. Rodriguez, Reynold F. Charles, Nirva J. Mercier, her brother Joanet Severe and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, and sons and daughter in-law.
Visiting hours will be held at the Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Hwy, Roslindale, MA 02131 on Friday, December 17th, 2021, from 6pm-8pm.
Funeral services will be held at Most Precious Blood Church, 25 Maple Street, Hyde Park MA, 02136, on Saturday, December 18th 2021, at 11:30am.
Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend.
