WAYLAND: Doris Teresa (Comick) Kellett, 93, passed away at her home in Wayland on Monday, December 6, 2021.
She was born in Watertown on October 3, 1928 daughter of the late Francis H. and Anne M. (Connolly) Comick. Doris graduated from St. Patrick High School in Watertown in 1946 and from Simmons College in 1952, where she studied nutrition. She and her husband raised their three children in Pittsburgh, PA; Buffalo, NY; Newton and Cincinnati, OH. They moved to Wayland in 1976. Doris was a homemaker, an avid reader, a gardener and a lover of classical music. She was a communicant of St. Ann Church in Wayland.
Doris is survived by her husband of 69 years, Owen J. Kellett of Wayland, a son Owen J. Kellett, Jr. and his wife Rosemarie of Westborough; a son, Stephen T. Kellett of Wellesley, a daughter, Ann Marie Kellett and her husband Hans Mentink of Marlborough, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Thomas F. “Bud” Comick, John J. Comick and two sisters, Margaret M. Comick and Helen G. Comick.
Visitations will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rt. 30), Wayland.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Parish at ST. ANN CHURCH, 134 Cochituate Road (Rt, 27), Wayland.
Interment will follow in the Kellett family lot in Lakeview Cemetery, Wayland.
