FALL RIVER… Jose F. Pereira, 80, of Fall River, MA passed away, Friday, December 3, 2021, at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
He was the husband of Amelia R. (Cabral) Pereira of Fall River.
Mr. Pereira was born in Capelas, St. Michael, Azores a son of the late Jose Pereira DeJesus and Maria DaConceicao (Sousa) Pereira and had lived in Fall River since 1970.
He was a machine operator at Engineer Yarns before his retirement.
Jose enjoyed going fishing.
Survivors include his widow, 4 sons: Joseph M. Pereira; Stephen Pereira; Ronnie Pereira all of Fall River; Jason Pereira of Virginia Beach, VA, a brother and 2 sisters in the Azores, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews. Jose was the brother of the late Joaquim DeSousa Pereira.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday at 9:00 A.M. at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 48 16th Street, Fall River, MA (faces Bedford Street). Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
