David Wayne Wicks 53, passed away November 30th 2021, after a brief illness at his home in Ashland, MA.
David is survived by his two brothers Arthur Wicks Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Lecanto FL and Lawrence Wicks and his wife Lena of Bellingham MA. He also leaves his beloved nieces and nephews, Sarah Kamfonik of Loxahatchee FL, Rebecca Castro of Colorado Springs CO, Corey Wicks and Tyler Wicks both of Woonsocket RI and his great-nieces and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents Arthur Wicks Sr. and Joyce Wicks.
David was a long time resident of Franklin MA and graduated from Franklin High School in 1986. He attended the North Bennet Street School in Boston MA where he studied custom cabinet and furniture making. David was a dedicated craftsman and worked over 20 years in his field including his own business Wicks Woodworking.
He is lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, who have fond memories of fishing trips, learning to ride bicycles and chasing down ice cream trucks with him. He enjoyed making wooden toys and trick boxes for them which they will always treasure.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Services will be held privately.
