Donna Marie (Roy) Marcotte
November 29, 1944 – December 3, 2021
On Friday, December 3, 2021, Donna M. (Roy) Marcotte passed peacefully in the arms of her children at the age of 77 due to complications from Covid. She was born on November 29, 1944, in Amesbury, MA. to the late John and Claire (Zinck) Barrett. Donna was known for her spirited wit and love of life. She brought light and laughter to any room she entered and was truly passionate about her family and friends.
Donna was predeceased by her parents, her daughter Lynda (MacKenzie) King and her husband Roland Marcotte. Family members include her sons Robert MacKenzie and spouse Ron Kopreski, Michael MacKenzie, and her daughter Michele (MacKenzie) McCoole and her husband Kerry McCoole.
Above everything else, Donna treasured being Nana to Keelan, Molly & Maggie McCoole, MacKenzie & Spencer King, Zachery & Zander MacKenzie and great grandson Grayson MacKenzie. She also leaves behind Susan (Marcotte) Piper, Michael, David, Richard Marcotte, and their families; her brother Robert Roy and wife Brenda; son in-law Christopher King; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Services and burial will take place in the late spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to her late daughter’s charity which is dedicated to metastatic breast cancer research and support, Lynda’s Kause Inc., 18 Alberta Ave., Newburyport, MA. 01950
