Thomas C. Garner, Jr., 67, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, December 3, 2021, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held 4 PM, Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeremy Cox officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 2 PM until 4 PM, at the funeral home.
Mr. Garner was born March 18, 1954, in Ashburn, Georgia, to the late Thomas C. & Mary Alice Ivey Garner. He lived in the community all of his life and worked for Chaney Bush Irrigation and Rainbow Manufacturing. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Garner of Fitzgerald; children: Shelly Gandy & Chris of Hortense, J.D. Garner & Alicia of Fitzgerald and Lisa Spires & Daniel of Ambrose; grandchildren: Erica Gordon, Hunter Garner, Ashton Gandy, Cole Gross, Taylor Gandy, Wyatt Gandy, Easton Bagley and Tucker Spires; a great-grandchild, Lynlee Collins; siblings: Dianne Jacobs of Rebecca, Susan Westberry & Halbert of Fitzgerald, Cathy Bowman of Rebecca, John Alan Garner of Rebecca and Dale Garner & Sue of Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Vickie Lynn Smith.
