LACONIA ---- Arlene Lana Lavoie, 73, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021, after a brief and unexpected illness.
She was born in Boston, MA, on December 31, 1947, the daughter of Leonard and Beatrice Goldstein. Arlene graduated from Hyde Park High School in 1965 and went on to attend and graduate from Chandler School of Business.
Arlene (Nana) was a loving wife, the mother of 4 children, and Nana to 6 grandchildren (as well as many others who she adopted as her own along the way). Arlene was proud of all she accomplished in her life, but above everything else, she was so very proud of her grandchildren and loved spending time with them, as they were the center of her world. She made sure to include how much she thought of each and every one of them in every conversation she had. Despite her large family, she always found time to provide love and encouragement to everyone she would meet. She had the most generous, loving heart and always put others before herself. She gave us strength when we needed it and taught us the value of being a spectacular human being, as that was exactly what she was. In her life, she taught us to laugh uncontrollably and love unconditionally. In her passing, she is showing us how fragile life is, that no one is invincible and how important it is to console others in their time of need. Her lessons, memories and spirit will live on in all the lives she touched forever. Nana, you will be missed immensely. We will be looking for the signs that will show us you are still as much a part of everyone's lives from above that you were when you were here.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Ronald Lavoie, son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Amy Seiler, daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Richard Ricker, Tracy Andriski and Lindsay and Robert Coolidge, her grandbabies Trevor Seiler, Josh Seiler, Bryce Ricker, Bree Ricker, Cali Andriski, Brody Andriski, Kayla Slide, Jacob Slide, her adopted grandbabies Summer and Skylar Simpson, and her cousin (who was much more like a sister) Roslyn Brothers and her partner Joe.
She is predeceased and joins her mom and dad, Beatrice and Leonard Goldstein, and her son-in-law Michael Andriski in Heaven and will be the first one in line there to welcome friends and family home for eternity.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Conference Center on Blueberry Lane on Sunday, January 23, 2022, from 1:00-5:00pm. All are welcome to join her family to pay your respects and to celebrate Arlene the way she deserves.
