Obituary

CHICOPEE – Lena Ann (Lefebvre) Perez, 53, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on August 12, 1968, a beloved daughter of the late Richard J. “Dick” Lefebvre who was Called Home on July 11, 2015 and Ann S. (Pryzbyla) Lefebvre who was Called Home on May 28, 2013. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and had lived in Chicopee her entire life. She furthered her education and received three Master’s Degrees from Springfield College and Framingham State University. She was employed as a Special Education Teacher for over 30 years with the City of Chicopee and had worked at the Bellamy Middle School and Chicopee Comprehensive High School. She was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. During her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling and reading. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She leaves her four loving children, Jamie L. Perez and his companion, Heather Locke, of Indian Orchard and Alexandria L. Perez, Alia H. Perez and Hector L. Perez, Jr., all of Chicopee; her numerous loving foster children; her six cherished grandchildren, Emma, Fiona, Donovan, Renlen, Charlie and Gilberto “Junior”; her two dear sisters, Laura A. Romano of Edgewater, FL and Lisa A. Lefebvre of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, colleagues, numerous friends and extended family members. She will also be deeply missed by her beloved teacup Chihuahuas, Lilo and Stitch. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. which will be followed by a Prayer Service at 5 p.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Masks are recommended for her services. Her Burial will be private at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee. Her family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen and Pantry, 170 Pendexter Avenue, Chicopee, MA 01013.
