Edmund J. Hill, 76

Edmund J. Hill, age 76, of Norton, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Rhonda L. (Blanchard) Hill, to whom he was wed for fifty-four years at the time of her death on March 26, 2021.
Born in Boston, MA on December 7, 1944, he was a loving son of the late William and Evelyn (Langille) Hill.
Ed grew up and was educated in Cambridge. He was a graduate Cambridge High and Latin and continued his education, graduating from Boston College and receiving a master’s degree in education at Boston University.
Mr. Hill was a retired math teacher at Taunton High Scholl, where he taught for many years and was well respected by his students and fellow teachers. He later taught mathematics at Newbury College and Bridgewater State College.
A resident of Norton for the past fifty-five years, Ed was a member of the Trinitarian Congregational Church in Norton and the Massachusetts Teachers Association. He loved spending time with his adoring family which included times spent, when younger, at the Hayward Field Pool in Attleboro. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, took great pride in the appearance of his yard and along with his late wife Rhonda, enjoyed trips to area casinos.
He was the devoted father of Matthew S. Hill and his wife Kristin of Littleton and the late Timothy K. Hill. He was the cherished grandfather of Madisen Hill, Taylor Hill and Jenna Hill. He was the dear brother of Kenneth Hill and his wife Doris of Lunenburg.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, December 19th from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.
At the conclusion of visitation on Sunday at 12:00 P.M., a service in celebration of the lives for both Edmund and Rhonda will be held at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
