Virginia Bruna (Tagliolato) Savino, 86, of New Bedford passed away Saturday November 20, 2021 at Our Lady’s Haven. She was the wife of the late Donald Savino.
Born in Vicenza, Italy, the daughter of the late Carlo and Elena (Porzionato) Tagliolato, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
Bruna was a loving grandmother who enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow. She was also a great cook who enjoyed making meals for her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Richard C. Savino and his wife Ruth, and Vincent J. Savino; her siblings, Adriana Kennedy and her husband Charles, Adriano Tagliolato and his wife Giuditta, and Adelina Tagliolato and her husband Adriano Gasparini; her sister-in-law, Barbara King and her husband John; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Anna Croy, Armando Tagliolato, and Roberto Tagliolato.
A private family burial service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. A public memorial service will be held at the Evangelical Zion Church, 2239 Cranberry Highway, West Wareham on Saturday December 4, 2021 at 2 PM.
