Antonio D. DaCosta, 79, of New Bedford died November 25, 2021 peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital.
He was the husband of the late Eugenia J. (Pires) DaCosta.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde, son of the late Jose L. and Palmira D. (Duarte) DaCosta, he moved to New Bedford in 1966.
He was formerly employed by Cornell-Dublier and Alden Court until his retirement.
Survivors include a brother, John DaCosta of new Bedford; 2 sisters, Inez Fernandes of Pawtucket, RI and Eugenia Avis of Sacramento, CA; his aunt, Ana Gomes of Sacramento, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Luis J. DaCosta.
His Funeral will be held on Saturday, December 4th at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Assumption Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday, December 3rd from 4-8 PM.
