Barbara A. (Cabral) O'Dwyer, 89, of Westport, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Center in Fall River. She was the former wife of James O'Dwyer.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late James and Helen (McCarthy) Cabral, she had lived in Westport since 1958. Prior to retirement, she was an executive secretary at the former Anderson Little in Fall River. She was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport. Mrs. O'Dwyer was a lover of animals and the theatre and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She also enjoyed attending her Senior Club with her friends.
Survivors include a son: Michael J. O'Dwyer and his wife Nelia of Westport; a daughter: Kathleen Coelho and her husband Antonio of Fall River; 3 grandchildren: James Coelho, Jay O'Dwyer and Colleen O'Dwyer; 3 great grandchildren: Toby, Drew and Reid Coelho; and several nieces and nephews.
She was mother of the late Colleen A. (O'Dwyer) Harrington and great grandmother of the late Lena Beth Coelho.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Friday from 3 - 5 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
