TEWKSBURY: Michael J. “Mike” Devlin, age 68, a longtime Tewksbury resident, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Hospital on Sunday, November 28, 2021.
He was the beloved husband of Cathy A. (Conley) Devlin, with whom he celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on April 11, 2021.
Born in Somerville on September 1, 1953, he was the son of the late Michael P. Devlin and the late Gloria (Lakin) Weymouth.
Michael attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1972.
Prior to his recent retirement, he worked as a Longshoremen for 29 years.
Mike was passionate about music and baseball. He treasured listening to his son Mickey’s band and going to many concerts, mainly the Grateful Dead. He loved attending his son Patrick’s baseball games and following the Boston Red Sox.
In addition, Mike loved hosting get-togethers for family and friends at the family cottage in Gilmanton, NH.
In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by his two sons, Michael B. “Mickey” Devlin, of Tewksbury and Patrick S. Devlin and his fiancé Melissa McGovern, of Waltham: two sisters, Mary-Jo Reynolds and her husband Tom, of Tewksbury and Kathy Osborne and her husband Dean, of Townsend. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Mike was the father of the late Bryan P. Devlin and brother of the late Walter Devlin.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, Dec. 6, from 9-11 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury.
